OUR STORY

Established in 2014, we started out as an environmental conservation club. HISER Society is based in Uttarakhand, a Himalayan State in India, known for extravagant mountainous vistas and home to extremely rich biodiversity. Uttarakhand is home to over 700 species of birds, mammals like Tiger, Leopard and Himalayan Brown Bear.

With more than 65% of the total geographical area is forest, and most of indigenous communities are dependent on forests products for their livelihood and survival. But, with increasing population and rapid infrastructure development these forests and other natural resources are under severe threat.

We, with our team of experts provide research, conservation and educational inputs for the sustainable development and protection of natural resources in the region.
